Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

ZyrenDark is operated by edwin a canas robles, who is the data controller for the personal data described here — meaning we decide why and how your data is processed. Contact us through in-app support for any privacy request.

2. Data we collect and why

• Account data — email address, name or display name, login credentials, authentication provider (email, Google, Apple). Purpose: create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Profile and health data — age, sex, height, weight, goal, activity level, mood, stress, sleep, steps, water, workouts, meals and macros, progress photos or notes you add, and data you choose to import from Apple Health, Apple Watch, Google Fit or Fitbit. Purpose: calculate your targets, generate plans and show progress. Legal basis: your consent (health data is only collected when you enter it or enable an integration), and performance of our contract.
• Coaching data — if you join a coach via referral code, your coach can see the training and nutrition data relevant to coaching you. Purpose: deliver the coaching feature. Legal basis: contract and consent.
• AI coach messages — the questions you send and context from your logs are sent to our AI provider to generate replies. Purpose: provide the AI coach. Legal basis: contract.
• Support messages — what you send us. Purpose: answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Usage, device and log data — device identifiers, app version, IP address, crash and error telemetry. Purpose: security, fraud prevention, debugging and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Subscription status — plan, trial and renewal state. Purpose: give you access to what you paid for. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

We do not receive or store your full card details. Payment data is collected by our payment providers.

3. Who we share data with

• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, for sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, invoicing, tax compliance and refunds. Apple handles purchases made inside the iOS app.
• Service providers / subprocessors — hosting and database, push notification delivery, AI model providers, error monitoring, and subscription infrastructure.
• Your coach, if you have linked to one, limited to coaching-relevant data.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use your health data for advertising.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

5. Retention

We keep your account and health data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for transaction records). Backups are purged on a rolling cycle.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect prior processing). You can delete your account and data directly in Settings. To exercise any other right, contact us through in-app support — we respond within one month. If you are in the UK/EEA you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls so users can only read their own records, and restricted administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of any breach affecting you as required by law.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember your app preferences (theme, units, background). We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings, though signing in will be required again.

9. Children

ZyrenDark is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this notice; material changes will be announced in the app.
